The Healthy Recipes


Admittedly, this recipe isn't original.  It was taken straight off the Knox gelatin box.  You won't find a better fat free, sugar free jello dessert though.  Try this with any unsweetened fruit juice, and you'll have a tasty sugar free gelatin... without the artificial colors and flavors.


 

Fruit Juice Jello Snacks
What you need:            
4 envelopes KNOX unflavored gelatin         
1 cup cold fruit juice          
3 cups fruit juice, heated to boiling  


What you do:  
Sprinkle gelatin over cold juice in a large bowl, and let it stand for one minute
Add hot juice and stir until gelatin dissolves (about 5 minutes)
Pour into a 13x9 pan and refrigerate for 3 hours.  
You can serve this by cutting into squares or just scoop it out of the pan.            
It's a great snack for kids, too.
My very favorite juice to use with this recipe is orange.  
It's delicious, and you can eat 1/4 of the pan and only consume 137 calories
(27 carbs and 8 grams protein)   Amounts will vary with other juices.
