The Guy Recipes

So you made the decision to eat healthy, work-out, and become a lean, mean, irresistible hunk.  Then...  somehow, you started to miss a few work-outs, and slowly slipped back to your previous bachelor meals of potato chips and beer.

You’re on your own with the work-outs, but here’s a healthy meal that will be a lot more helpful than potato chips when it comes to acquiring that six pack (I’m talking about ripped abs here, not Bud Light.)

Healthy Tuna Salad

What you need (required)
A bowl and a stirring utensil
One can water packed tuna (albacore tastes the best)
2 T mayonnaise (consider using the low fat variety)

What you need (optional)
 ¼ c sliced grapes
3 T almonds
3 T chopped carrots
3 T chopped celery

What you do: Mix all your ingredients together in the bowl. I LOVE grapes and almonds in this recipe, but you can substitute raisins and peanuts, if that’s more your style… or even leave out the fruit and nuts altogether. The beauty of this recipe is that you can eat it right out of the bowl, and then just cover it with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator for your next meal. What you get: A healthy snack or meal, loaded with protein for building those muscles. If you want to be a little more refined then just eating it out of the bowl, put a scoop of the tuna salad on some lettuce or mixed greens… or on a piece of whole grain bread or toast.

Hints: Tuna keeps practically forever in the can, but not as long once it’s been opened. Be sure to eat all the tuna salad within a few days or else your healthy masterpiece will have to end up down the disposal.
