The 2005 Shape Up Challenge wants to serve as inspiration for you to get in the best shape of your life... and be rewarded for your efforts!  

We recommend incorporating a combination of strength training and cardiovascular training into your exercise routine, but we also realize that everyone is at a different fitness level.  If you are just starting an exercise program for the first time, challenging yourself with daily walks might be a great beginning.  If you are an elite athlete, you may need to push yourself beyond a typical work-out routine to take yourself to a new level. 

We recommend as many whole foods as possible, including plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  Additionally, our delicious shakes will help provide extra protein, fiber, and nutrients for the times when you need a quick snack... or they can serve as a healthier alternative than skipping a meal.  

Regardless of your age or current fitness level, you could be our Grand Prize Winner in the 2005 Shape Up Challenge.  The focus of our Challenge is to add motivation to your desire and commitment to a healthier lifestyle.  At the end of the Challenge, you will submit an essay describing the steps you took to improve your physique, your health, and your life.  We are just as interested in your journey and what you've done to improve your overall health and fitness, as we are in your outward results.  

It takes 21 days to break or form a new habit.  With some dedication towards forming new, healthy habits, imagine what you could achieve over the next 12 weeks!  Imagine what the effects of those changes could be over your lifetime.

If you don't know where to start, our resources page will provide you with an assortment of diet and fitness information.  Choose the ideas that work for you... for your fitness level and lifestyle.  Be sure to check with your physician or health care professional before beginning any new diet or exercise program.  Your plan will be healthier and give you more long term success if you focus on developing a healthier way of life over the next 12-weeks, and not just a quick fix.
